How to delete your Sportamii account
This page explains how users of the Sportamii mobile app (operated by 1573171 B.C. Ltd., doing business as SPORTAMii) can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Sportamii app:
- Open the Sportamii app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap the menu button (⋯) in the top-right corner.
- Select Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
You can also delete your account from the menu during onboarding before you finish setting up your profile.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us at support@sportamii.com from the email address linked to your Sportamii account. Include “Account deletion request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity and process your request.
What we delete
When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize the following data associated with your account:
- Account credentials and authentication data (including email)
- Profile information (name, bio, birthday, gender, postal code, and approximate location)
- Profile photos
- Sports interests and skill levels
- Discovery and matching preferences
- Likes, dislikes, matches, and related activity
- Push notification tokens
- Release agreement records
What we may keep
Some information may be retained after account deletion where permitted or required by law, or for legitimate business purposes such as trust, safety, and fraud prevention:
- Safety reports you submitted or that were submitted about you, where retention is needed for moderation, enforcement, or legal compliance
- Chat message history may no longer be accessible through the app, but limited data may remain with our messaging service provider for a period consistent with their retention policies
- Diagnostic and error logs collected for app stability and security (typically retained for a limited period)
- Newsletter subscription data, if you opted in — unsubscribe in app under Settings → Subscriptions → Newsletters before deleting your account, or ask us to remove it when you email support@sportamii.com
- Information we are required to retain to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse
- Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer be used to identify you
Retention period
Personal information is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time after your deletion request is confirmed, unless a longer retention period is required for the purposes described above. Backup copies may take additional time to be overwritten.
