Child Safety Standards

These Child Safety Standards describe how 1573171 B.C. Ltd., doing business as SPORTAMii (“SPORTAMii”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), addresses child safety on the Sportamii mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

SPORTAMii has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Age requirement

The Service is intended solely for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly permit minors to use the Service or collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If we learn or reasonably suspect that a user is under 18, or that an account is being used to target, groom, or exploit minors, we may suspend or permanently terminate the account and take additional action as described below.

Prohibited conduct (zero tolerance)

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on SPORTAMii and may result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities:

  • Creating, uploading, sharing, soliciting, or distributing CSAM
  • CSAE, including grooming, sexualization of minors, or any attempt to exploit a child for sexual purposes
  • Using the Service to contact, recruit, or arrange meetings with minors for any purpose
  • Misrepresenting your age or identity to gain access to minors or to evade enforcement
  • Profiles, photos, messages, or offline behavior that involve, reference, or promote CSAE or CSAM

How to report concerns

Users can report misconduct through the Service or by contacting us directly.

In the Sportamii app

  1. Open the match or profile you want to report.
  2. Use the report option to describe the issue (for example, inappropriate photos, messages, bio, or offline behavior).
  3. Submit your report. You may also unmatch the user as part of this process.

By email

You can also contact us at support@sportamii.com. Include “Child safety report” in the subject line if your concern involves CSAE, CSAM, or a user you believe may be a minor.

From Settings, you can also use Send a message under Contact Us to reach our support team.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

Our enforcement response

When we receive reports or otherwise obtain information about potential CSAE or CSAM, SPORTAMii may, in its discretion and as permitted or required by law:

  • Remove or restrict access to reported content
  • Suspend or permanently terminate accounts
  • Preserve relevant information for investigation
  • Cooperate with law enforcement and child protection agencies
  • Report confirmed CSAM to the appropriate authorities

We may take action without prior notice where necessary to protect users or comply with legal obligations. For general community standards, see our Terms of Use.

CSAM reporting

Upon obtaining actual knowledge of CSAM on the Service, SPORTAMii will take appropriate action, including removing the content and disabling the associated account, in accordance with these standards and applicable law.

Where required or appropriate, we report confirmed CSAM to Cybertip.ca (Canada’s national tipline for reporting online child sexual abuse) or other relevant regional authorities.
